We are a fun group of people who love to sing under the direction of our very talented director, Don Conley. Salt Spring Singers’ singing season is divided into 2 sessions - the first session begins in September for the Fall Term, and the second begins in January for the Spring Term. Practice takes place at the Baptist Church, 520 Lower Ganges Road.
As this is a Community Choir, no audition is required and the ability to read music is not mandatory. We welcome singers in all registers: Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone and Bass. We are always in need of lower voices, especially baritone and basses.
Registration for each session takes place at the Church prior to the first rehearsal, followed by an introduction to the session’s music and a rehearsal.
Cost is $135.00 per person, per session with a reduced fee of $40 for students. Should you feel the choir is not a good fit for you, we will refund your registration fee within the first 3 weeks of your registration date. Rehearsals will start Tuesday, January 10, 2023 Choir members will receive details by email. If you are new to the choir, please contact the President (see below) for details.
The registration fee of $135 can be paid by cash, cheque (payable to Salt Spring Singers), or Interac E-Transfer. The recipient email address for Interac e-transfers is treasurersssingers@gmail.com. The Singers’ e-transfer account is set up for autodeposit so no security question and answer are needed.
